West Park Dental Offers Interest Free Financing
A variety of payment options are available to patients here at West Park Dental in Cleveland. We accept coordination of payment via insurance, personal checks, and all the major credit cards including Discover and American Express. We also offer financing with CareCredit.
A really nice feature of CareCredit is that it is interest free—it provides deferred interest for the patient. Patients appreciate that if they make the payments on time they can avoid having the cost of the interest payments. With CareCredit we normally try to stay with the six-month deferred interest option, but we will do twelve months of deferred payments depending on the dollar amount they are financing.
CareCredit promotes itself by saying specifically that it is a deferred interest plan: if we are using the six-month plan and on that seventh month the patient still owes part of the amount borrowed, then there will be interest charges. The loan has to be completely paid off within the stated interest-free time period in order to avoid paying any interest at all. That is important to know and I am glad to explain it to the patent when new patients are discussing payment options.
This financing option is a very attractive option for many patients. Additionally, CareCredit is a revolving line of credit. When a patient is approved for a certain amount they have that amount available to use on dental care today and at a later date. If the patient finds themselves needing dental treatment at some point in the future and they do not want to incur upfront, out-of-pocket expenses, the line of credit is available provided that past balances have been paid off.
